Short explanation

The macOS version of the DigiD app lacks Hardened Runtime signing, allowing a local process to load its own dylib via DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES.

Why does it matter?

An attacker with local user-level code execution can execute arbitrary code within the app, gaining access to sensitive data and cryptographic capabilities.

What should be done?

  • Update to the latest available version
  • Follow vendor advisories for patching details

Saldırgan yerel kullanıcı düzeyinde kod yürütme ile DigiD verilerine ve kriptografik yeteneklere erişebilir.

Show the technical text from the sources

The macOS version of the DigiD app is not signed with Hardened Runtime. As a result, a local process can load its own dylib into DigiD via DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES. An attacker with local user-level code execution can execute arbitrary code within the macOS version of the DigiD app, thereby gaining access to DigiD data and cryptographic capabilities that the process normally does not have.
