Short explanation

A stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence allows an authenticated attacker to store malicious content [S0]. When a victim accesses a page displaying this content, it executes within their browser context, resulting in a low impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability [S0].

Why does it matter?

Successful exploitation allows an attacker to access session information, modify rendered page content, and disrupt the victim's application usage [S0]. The patch status remains unknown [S0].

What should be done?

  • Monitor official vendor advisories and security notes
  • Review updates for XMII 15.4 and 15.5
  • Consult the vendor advisory for guidance

Show the technical text from the sources

Due to a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence, an attacker could store malicious content that is later rendered by the application. If an authenticated victim accesses a page that displays this stored content, the injected input is processed during web page generation, resulting in the execution of malicious content in the victims browser context. This could allow the attacker to access or modify information within the victims browser scope. Successful exploitation could allow the attacker to access session information, modify rendered page content and disrupt the victim's use of the application, resulting in a low impact on confidentiality, integrity and availability.

Solution & Remediation Advisory

Patch status unknown

İncelenen resmî kaynaklarda yama durumu doğrulanamadı. Bu sonuç “yama yok” anlamına gelmez.

Confirm the affected product and version against the source evidence above.
Restrict access to internet-facing services and apply network segmentation.
Until a patch is confirmed, follow the vendor advisory; do not read an unknown status as “no patch”.
Monitor server logs and network endpoints for signs of anomalous execution.
