Short explanation
A Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability was found in Quay, allowing an authenticated repository administrator to bypass the hostname blacklist in webhook notifications (S0). This flaw allows the application to be tricked into sending requests to internal network resources (S0).
This vulnerability can lead to sensitive information disclosure by targeting internal network resources and cloud metadata services (S0).
What should be done?
- Follow vendor advisories for updates and guidance (S0).
Chain of evidence and sources
Quay uygulamasında kimliği doğrulanmış bir depo yöneticisinin webhook bildirimlerindeki ana bilgisayar adı kara listesini atlamasına olanak tanıyan bir SSRF zafiyeti bulunmaktadır (S0).
Bu zafiyet, Quay uygulamasının bulut meta veri servisleri gibi dahili ağ kaynaklarına istek göndermesine ve hassas bilgilerin ifşa olmasına yol açabilir (S0).
Show the technical text from the sources
A flaw was found in Quay. An authenticated repository administrator could bypass the hostname blacklist in webhook notifications, leading to a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability. This allows the Quay application to be tricked into sending requests to internal network resources, such as cloud metadata services or other services within the cluster. Consequently, this could lead to the disclosure of sensitive information from these internal services.
