Short explanation

An out-of-bounds write vulnerability exists in the SPI host command interface of Semtech LR11xx transceiver firmware. A crafted SPI command can cause arbitrary bytes to be written past internal buffer boundaries.

Why does it matter?

This vulnerability can lead to a high impact on integrity and system availability. Exploitation may result in adverse effects on the targeted device.

What should be done?

  • Follow the Semtech security bulletin
  • Apply updates in accordance with vendor advisories
Chain of evidence and sources2 verified claims

Semtech LR11xx alıcı-verici yazılımının SPI ana komut arayüzünde sınır dışı yazma zafiyeti bulunmaktadır.

İstismar süreci cihaza fiziksel erişim ve SPI veriyoluna mantıksal erişim gerektirir.

Show the technical text from the sources

An out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the SPI host command interface of Semtech's LR11xx transceiver firmware where a crafted SPI host command with an oversized length field can cause the firmware to write up to 254 arbitrary bytes past the bounds of an internal, non-persistent memory buffer. Exploitation requires physical access to the device and logical access to the SPI bus.

Patch and Remediation Guide

Solution & Remediation Advisory

Patch status unknown

İncelenen resmî kaynaklarda yama durumu doğrulanamadı. Bu sonuç “yama yok” anlamına gelmez.

Confirm the affected product and version against the source evidence above.
Restrict access to internet-facing services and apply network segmentation.
Until a patch is confirmed, follow the vendor advisory; do not read an unknown status as “no patch”.
Monitor server logs and network endpoints for signs of anomalous execution.
